A intenção deste trabalho é mostrar como um espaço pode ter sua história recontada, reescrita, atribuindo um novo valor ao mesmo e acolhendo o entorno estudado. Durante todo o trabalho, desde o estudo do referencial teórico, obras análogas e diagnóstico, foi buscado a análise das informações sobre a região, o público alvo e as suas necessidades, usando como analogia a reescritura urbana de Corboz.The present work aims to study the urban landscape, public spaces (square, park, street) and Urban Palimpsests, their concepts and nuances in the design of physical spaces in cities, corroborating the proposal for a SESC with a Cultural Complex , Community and Sports in the São Gabriel neighborhood, Northeast region of Belo Horizonte. The intention of this work is to show how a space can have its history retold, rewritten, attributing a new value to it and welcoming the surroundings studied.
