O presente trabalho tem por objetivo relatar o diagnistico, intervenção cirúrgica e acompanhamento pós-operatório de um cão macho da raça labrador de 9 anos, com 60kg, que apresentou um lipoma na região axilar esquerda com aderência ao tórax lateral esquerdo. O lipoma era um nódulo macio e indolor, confirmado por exames citológicos. O animal foi submetido a uma cirurgia para remover o lipoma, que tinha mais de 21cm de diâmetro e pesando 1.646kg. A cirurgia envolveu a remoção da massa tumoral e o fechamento do espaço criado com suturas. A biópsia confirmou o diagnóstico de lipoma benigno. No pós-operatório, o animal recebeu tratamento com medicamentos para dor e inflamação, e a recuperação foi bem-sucedida, sem complicações.ABSTRACT: This study aims to report the diagnosis, surgical intervention, and postoperative follow-up of a 9-year-old male Labrador weighing 60 kg, who presented with a lipoma in the left axillary region adhered to the left lateral thorax.
