This research is characterized descriptively with documentary procedure with the use of ANAC regulations and internal documents of the institution for the proper implementation. The approach used was qualitative. In the course of this research it is presented the solutions created and applied by this institution in the area of risk management. At the end of the monograph it is possible to verify that the institution itself has made a realistic implementation of the SMS and it is making use of this tool in the daily operations with the purpose of improving the constant of operational safety inside the organization.Esta monografia foi elaborada com o objetivo geral de apresentar um estudo de caso do processo de implantação do Sistema de Gerenciamento de Segurança Operacional no Aeroclube de Caxias do Sul/RS para a comunidade aeronáutica para referenciar outras instituições. Esta pesquisa se caracteriza descritiva com procedimento documental com o uso de regulamentos da ANAC e documentos internos da instituição para a devida implementação. A abordagem utilizada foi a qualitativa. No decorrer da pesquisa é aprestando as soluções criadas e aplicadas por essa instituição no quesito gerenciamento de risco.
