Este estudo tem como objetivo abordar as principais causas e tratamentos terapêuticos de eflúvio telógeno encontrados na literatura. A pesquisa foi realizada a partir de artigos publicados, nos últimos dez anos, nas bases de dados “Scielo” e “PubMed”. Após a revisão, concluímos que as principais causas dessa disfunção capilar incluem estresse emocional e fisiológico, medicamentos, carência nutricional, doenças sistêmicas e estados febris. Sobre o seu tratamento, é comum que a queda capilar acabe cessando sem a necessidade de tratamentos, porém, alguns medicamentos tópicos e procedimentos minimamente invasivos são opções para que haja o aceleramento do crescimento capilar.Telogen effluvium is considered a type of non-scarring alopecia, characterized by excessive hair loss, generated three months after a triggering event. After the review, we concluded that the main causes of this capillary dysfunction include emotional and physiological stress, medication, nutritional deficiency, systemic diseases and febrile states.
