We also bring out the criteria that were and are taken into consideration, going through the biological, the psychological and the biopsychological. The country's current reality regarding the world of organized crime, including adolescents in their executions, has been evidenced, taking advantage of the leaders in some cases of their fragility. It presented, in a synthetic and objective way, the main positions of professionals in the field of psychology, who analyze the formation of the adolescent at this stage of his life, as well as the legal position of the main jurists of our country. We have brought an explanation of the way in which the subject is dealt with by the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA), as well as by the Federal Constitution itself (CF 1988), and there is a comparison of our current scenario with those of developed countries, with a view to finding a solution to the current problem.Com o presente trabalho, pretendeu-se trazer uma análise sobre a redução da maioridade penal no Brasil, apresentando alguns conceitos doutrinários para compreensão da temática escolhida, além da evolução histórica da maioridade penal em nosso país. Trazemos, também, quais os critérios que foram e são levados em consideração, passando pelo biológico, opsicológico e o biopsicológico. Evidenciou-se a atual realidade do país no que diz respeito ao mundo do crime organizado, envolvendo, inclusive, adolescentes em suas execuções, aproveitando-se os líderes, em alguns casos, da fragilidade destes. Apresentou-se, de forma sintética e objetiva, os principais posicionamentos de profissionais da área da psicologia, que analisam a formação do adolescente nesta fase de sua vida, bem como o posicionamento jurídico dos principais juristas do nosso país.
