The civil construction industry has high rates of Accidents at Work, in addition to one of the worst conditions in safety, worldwide. The lack of qualification, high turnover and low investment in training and development are usually characteristics of this branch. The objective of this work is to make entrepreneurs aware of the savings generated by investments in work safety. Based on field research with a focus on establishing priorities that affect the employer, manager and supervisors to determine the contracting before the Engineering and Work Safety service. A indústria de construção civil, possui altos índices de Acidentes de Trabalho, além de uma das piores condições em segurança, em escala mundial. A falta de qualificação, alta rotatividade e o baixo investimento em treinamentos e desenvolvimento costumam ser características desse ramo. O objetivo desse trabalho é em conscientizar o empresário da economia gerada pelos investimentos em segurança do trabalho.
