Relatório de Estágio Acesso aberto Adequação do parâmetro sulfeto em uma estação de tratamento de efluentes em uma lavanderia industrial(2017) Juvêncio, Willian HenriqueThis study presents an investigation carried out in an industrial laundry in the south of Santa Catarina aiming the reduction of the emission of the sulfide ion at the end of the treatment of effluents, once it is above the limit allowed by the Santa Catarina State regulatory agency (Environment Foundation - FATMA). The study was done through collections carried out at some points of the effluent treatment plant located in the company's premises, where it was later possible to make considerations based on these results of chemical analyzes, as well as observations with the aid of consecrated bibliographies. The analytical method used was the iodometric, and the chemical characterization were done in the laboratory of the Technological Center of the University of Southern Santa Catarina, at the pole of the city of Tubarão. According to the main objective, it was possible to analyze that among the parameters to be controlled, only the sulfide emission was in excess (mean sulfide concentration at the exit of the treatment plant in the collected samples was 9.65 mg / L, which is allowed is 1 mg / L). Thus, the main causes raised were, through calculations used, an inefficient aeration system in the aeration pond, as well as a poor homogenization of the effluents generated in the production process in the homogenization tank. With this, in agreement between company and the author of this one, a series of measures was made to be realized aiming at the adequacy of the sulfide. The addition of aerators in the aeration lagoon was one of them, where by means of the use of equipment already belonging to the company, an attempt increasing the aeration rate in the lagoon. The results of the collections after the planned alteration were insufficient (mean of 3.48 mg / L in the collected samples), since the aerators installed aerated only along the surface, not reaching the bottom of the lagoon. For the cost-benefit analysis, after the fail observed, the new method adopted, as a possible solution was the exclusion of the homogenization tank, noticed that there was an increase in the sulfide concentration at that point, through the action of anaerobic microorganisms responsible for transformation of sulphites and sulphates into sulphide. With this step completed, samples were collected again for analysis at the remaining points of the treatment plant, where it was proved that with the two steps added the perfect control of the sulfide was possible (average of 0.21 mg / L in the collections made). The marketing and consumption strategy of the products are described according to their use. The industrial processes necessary for the correct operation of the industry are described so that the implementation is simple and light. The quality control present in the various segments ensures that the safety and reliability of the glass produced can be recognized nationally. All environmental management ensures that the company, before and after implementation, manages the least environmental impact in the municipality that will be installed. Neste contexto, a indústria de suplementação alimentar ganhou ainda mais relevância e espaço no mercado para inserção de produtos que auxiliam no aumento da imunidade e na disposição para atividades diárias. Tendo em vista esses fatores bastante expressivos no mercado, foi realizada a elaboração de um plano de negócios referente ao estudo da viabilidade técnico-econômica para implementação de uma empresa de suplementos alimentares em Santa Catarina, tendo como matéria-prima principal um carboidrato de baixo índice glicêmico, conhecido como palatinose. Fez-se então um estudo acerca de todas as variáveis necessárias para implementação de um empreendimento no ramo alimentício. Foram levantados aspectos sobre planejamento estratégico e de marketing, engenharia básica e aplica, planejamento econômico-financeiro, controle de qualidade e engenharia ambiental e de segurança do trabalho. As definições de negócio, concorrentes, clientes, estudo de mercado, características dos produtos, forma de venda, foram abordadas no planejamento estratégico e de marketing. Na engenharia básica e aplicada demonstrou-se as características do processo, operações unitárias, dimensionamento de equipamentos e os balanços de massa e energia. O controle de qualidade abordou sobre a padronização dos processos, desde a chegada da matéria-prima, até a expedição do produto acabado, além de aplicar ferramentas que garantem a garantia da qualidade durante todo o processo produtivo. Being today the 4th biggest plastic producer in the world, Brazil lies in a delicate position regarding the destination of this residue. Recycling comes in this context as a great alternative to reverse those effects, reduce the generation of CO2, and limit the use of necessary resources to the packaging and other consumer goods’ production. However, its application still happens in a very reduced way in the country, which needs more efficient management of solid waste, requiring a major effort in this sector. With that in mind, this present work was idealized with the intent of studying the technical and economic viability of implementing an industry to produce garbage bag and resins from recycled post-industrial waste, in the South of Santa Catarina. Thus, important aspects were listed for the development of the company. The chapters dedicated to Strategic Planning and Marketing describe the company’s plans for creating a strategic identity, choosing the location, market study and strategic positioning. Basic Engineering dealt with the description of the raw material used, process variables and equipment. Safety Engineering was responsible for describing the Regulatory Standard, adopting safety measures based on the mapped risks and elaborating the Good Manufacturing Practices handbook. Environmental Engineering made waste management planning, besides being responsible for necessary licenses. In the Quality Management section, the tools used to manage that meet the company’s standards were described, as the quality policy established and the parameters for control and quality assurance in the processes. The study was divided into stages so that the understanding of the project would be facilitated. It started with the market analysis. The following was the design of the equipment to be used in the process of production of the caustic soda and its by-products, as well as the balance of mass and energy involved in these steps, continuing with the description of the process and the composition of chemical products. This has been done, the quality management and environmental management systems appropriate to the business plan described above, the classification of the industrial sector in accordance with the current legislation and the necessary steps to obtain the licensing Environment, in addition to the health and safety management system of work from the applicable legislation in the country. The schedule for the implementation of the company was also presented, the survey and the way of obtaining the resources necessary for the beginning of the activities of the proposed undertaking. The infinity of colors used in all kinds of different materials is achieved by the wide variety of pigments available, such as: organic, inorganic, natural, synthetic, mineral, etc. Inorganic pigments have good chemical and thermal stability and their production can be reached by various methods or by the use of mineral pigments. This project applies a bit of each knowledge passed through the entire university period and aims to study and evaluate the technical-economic pre-feasibility of the implementation of an inorganic pigment industry called Koncor. Koncor was initially designed to produce three pigments, prussian blue, magnetite and hematite, the blue, black and red pigment, respectively. In addition to the pigments, Koncor will also produce ferric chloride, the raw material used in all the three pigment production routes and as a coagulating/flocculating agent in the effluent treatment plant. This study presents, respectively, a strategy plan to gather market and marketing techniques to promote the product, featuring the target audience and competition already in function at the market. Following this, a more technical analyzes is presented, including not only the engineering decisions but also the technologies around the productive process. After that, the quality control of the business comes to place, presenting the best methods and procedures to achieve maximum quality at the final product. Next, the legal requirements to such project were covered, as far as legislation, and the total impact the enterprise will cause at the environment. In the same manner, the aspects of labor security were described, studying which rules are meaningful to Whey Protein productive process. Dessa forma, para que as características desejadas sejam alcançadas, existe um controle rigoroso relacionado à higienização de espaços e superfícies com as quais o alimento entra em contato, seja durante a criação de animais destinados ao abate, seja na fase de produção do alimento propriamente dita. Sabe-se que os processos de higienização são compostos pelas etapas de limpeza e sanitização, os quais utilizam produtos distintos. Então, idealizou-se a elaboração de um plano de negócios que estuda a viabilidade técnico-econômica para a implementação de uma indústria de produtos higienizadores para aplicação industrial localizada na região sul de Santa Catarina. Para tanto, realizou-se um estudo minucioso acerca dos aspectos necessários para a implementação de um empreendimento neste ramo, tais como planejamento estratégico, estudo de marketing, controle de qualidade, engenharia básica e aplicada, bem como engenharias ambiental, engenharia de segurança e higiene do trabalho, planejamento econômico e viabilidade financeira. Para o planejamento estratégico, abordaram-se as definições de negócio, principais concorrentes e fornecedores e elaboraram-se estratégias competitivas. No marketing, especificou-se as características dos produtos e desenvolveram-se maneiras de promovê-los aos clientes. Ainda, elencaram-se os tópicos referentes ao controle de qualidade, através do desenvolvimento de ferramentas da qualidade que proporcionam a padronização do processo desde a chegada da matéria-prima até a expedição dos produtos acabados. Once these needs are observed, there is the provocation of ideas, which is the design phase of the project, from this moment the project management starts to play a fundamental role in the formatting and use of methodologies. In this way, the present study aimed to evaluate the main knowledge listed by the Project Management Institute (PMI) to enable the implementation of a project management methodology in a large company. Through the qualitative analysis of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide), sought to investigate how the project tools can contribute to a better performance of the organization and define the most appropriate tools and techniques, in order to maximize the effectiveness and systematization of the company projects. The PMBOK provides an overview of recognized knowledge and practices that are applicable to different types of projects, which significantly increase the chances of success of projects. It was also decided to choose agile techniques in project management, with the intention of reducing bureaucratization in certain stages of the project and for better engagement of project stakeholders. Based on the selection of methods, an initial methodology for project management was developed, emphasizing that it is susceptible to modifications due to the emergence of new necessities and the company's own maturity in relation to project management. It is about the production of lactic acid from whey. We are trying to find a resolution for the whey, because it is harmful to the environment and more polluting than untreated domestic sewage. The project was piecemeal and ordered in a way for clarity. Strategic management and marketing were first established in view of their commitments and duties to society and the environment. Quality management has also been established, which is vital to maintain the monitoring and recording of the quality activities results, evaluating the performance and recommending necessary changes in the process so that the requirements and / or standards of the quality can be identified, as well as documenting how the project will demonstrate consumer compliance and satisfaction. In order to have quality products, one must have a good engineering structure, with quality equipment, trained employees and seek to be always updated. After all these phases one has the economic management, where the project is evaluated as a whole to verify if its implantation becomes feasible or unfeasible and highlighting the favorable and unfavorable points. This class of products includes bleaches, soaps, bleaches, disinfectants, detergents, among others diverse products with varied applications. The first product used before was soap, after wars and warlike events with the shortage of oils and fats synthetic surfactants became an alternative to soap replacement. The present work was based on the elaboration of a new formulation of dishwashing detergents with the reincorporation of by-product and with the intention of obtaining a cleaner production. In a first step, the waste was separated and the dishwashing detergent was chosen because it is one of the products with the highest manufacturing volume of the company. Thus, analyzes were performed to characterize the residue and with the result of the surfactant content, it was determined as a byproduct. Subsequently, the new formulation was elaborated with the use of the byproduct, reusing the surfactants and other reagents. The product generated was evaluated in several parameters that guarantee the consumer the quality to choose the product, being related to viscosity, density, pH, cloud point, anionic surfactant determination, foaming power and cleaning power. Commercial detergents were used as parameters due to the scarcity of quality legislation. And finally, they identified whether the changes to cleaner production are economically viable. The dishwasher detergent formulated compared to the commercials obtained a great result in its analyzes. Recycled polyester fibers in turn are gaining space in the textile industry due to the concern that the high levels of petroleum explored to obtain synthetic fibers entail in the environment. The nonprofit Textile Exchange has challenged more than 50 textile, clothing and retail companies to increase the use of recycled polyester by 25 percent by 2020. To date, Textile Exchange has stated that the process of obtaining recycled fibers has provided the following benefits were: 2,868 million bottles diverted from the landfill, 1,849,464 MJ saved in primary energy demand and 122,823 kg reduced CO2. In order to take advantage of the incentive of the textile industry and to seek new alternatives for the reuse of the bottles, the present project has the objective of studying the feasibility of the implantation of an industrial unit for the recovery of PET bottles for the production of polyester fibers in the north of Santa Catarina. The upward movement of this sector is the result of influences caused by the media and social networks, especially the beauty tutorials indicating the easy of use and the results obtained with the product used. Women stopped using makeup and cleaning as a routine and took care of themselves for pleasure, valuing their skin and hair and men lost the stereotype of no vanity and are becoming as vain as women. Coupled with the growing growth in the toiletries, perfumery and cosmetics market, the demand for natural and vegan products has grown considerably. Therefore, it presents the project of the installation of a vegan cosmetics industry in the south of Santa Catarina, analyzing its financial viability. In strategic and marketing planning, the company's image, location, manufactured products and strategies for market inclusion are elaborated. In marketing the product is disseminated, the creation of a set of ideas and strategies for sale. In engineering, the production process and the equipment list are described, the sizing and calculation of the production process area and the description of each process are performed. In environmental engineering, a sizing of an effluent treatment plant is created, licensing and the correct disposal of waste are addressed. Safety engineering creates safety measures and working conditions by doing a risk assessment. In guaranteeing quality control, the necessary indicators for the product control, the manual of good manufacturing practices and the quality tools to adapt the process and solve the problems are elaborated. The detailing of the project site and the application of good manufacturing practices explain the operation of a cosmetic industry and the relationship of the manual of good manufacturing practices. This product has been produced already in Brazil for some time, from sugarcane, which has raised the Brazilian indices of production of first generation alcohol. However, an alternative is second-generation ethanol, produced from cereal crops bagasses's, such as rice husks. Nowadays, the main purpose of the rice husk is generates energy by burning it, however can also be used to produce second generation alcohol, since it has a considerable amount of cellulose, which makes it perfect to the process of biofuel production. Thus, it is presented the proposal for an installation of a biorefinery in the state of Santa Catarina, using lignocelluloses biomass coming from the rice processing industries. The present Course's Completion Project presented to the Course of Chemical Engineering of the University of the South of Santa Catarina, was divided in specific areas for a better understanding. It begins with strategic planning and marketing, which is a methodology capable of establishing the direction that must be taken by the company, with the objective of integrating it into its operational environment. Followed by quality management, which is a managing focused on the quality of production and services of the company; Basic Engineering, which understands and designs all the necessary requirements for the company's implementation, focusing on the production process; Environmental Engineering, which aims to plan an adequate management, either by solving environmental issues or preventing possible negative consequences related to production processes; The safety engineering, which goes to anticipate the risks of accidents and therefore trying to minimize them. Il est donc nécessaire de penser à des solutions pour recycler ces résidus afin qu'ils ne deviennent pas des lieux de création de populations venimeuses et d'insectes, en particulier le moustique de la dengue. Dans le recyclage, il existe un retraitement qui permet de réutiliser le rejet, contribuant à la société dans son ensemble. Pour le pneu, l'une des méthodes de recyclage efficace est la pyrolyse, qui est un processus de rupture des liaisons moléculaires par chauffage à haute température en l'absence d'oxygène, résultant en des composants qui forment le pneu: huile pyrolytique, noir de fumée, ferreux et gaz. An example is the use of the residue from the rice processing industries to produce silica, a product that is widely versatile industrially and with high added value. Thus, the present work presents the preparation of a business plan that addresses the technical and economic feasibility for the implementation of a rice husk reuse industry in order to produce biogenic silica in the southern region of Santa Catarina. There were several aspects related to the branch of the proposed enterprise, from the preparation of the company's strategic planning, marketing study, basic and applied engineering, other engineerings such as environmental and work safety, quality control, to economic planning and financial viability. In the strategic planning chapter, business definitions, main competitors and possible competitors were addressed. In the marketing part, the artifices for the promotion of the brand were listed, as well as the product specifications. As for the aspects related to basic and applied engineering, the process and operation of the unit were described, specifying characteristics of the equipment sizing. Subsequently, environmental and occupational safety engineering approach to the enterprise is directed with special attention to current and applicable laws. It was also important to list the management and quality control tools. Finally, the economic planning and economic feasibility lists costs, profits and other monetary aspects.
