Monografia Acesso aberto Identificação e caracterização de pesquisas clínicas de acupuntura nos programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu brasileiros(2011) Grassi, Leandro AlbertoWith the counterculture movement started in the 1960s, growing interest in listening to unconventional medical practices, among them acupuncture. The objective of this study was to identify and characterize the clinical studies of acupuncture involving human subjects in the programs graduate strictly speaking Brazilians. To collect and analyze data was used as a methodological course qualitative research, exploration, according to their purposes, and document analysis, according to their means. All material was collected from the Bank of the Capes Thesis, in Portuguese and were used as keywords acupuncture and acupuncture clinic. Found 49 papers, 12 Ph.D. theses and 37 master's theses from 21 research institutions on a public (federal and state) and private sectors. The results were organized into categories that reveal: (1) trends in theses and dissertations in clinical acupuncture involving human subjects, (2) subjects of clinical research on acupuncture, (3) types of acupuncture used in the research, (4) production in the second acupuncture clinical research institutions of education and research, (5) Brazilian regions and states more productive, (6) gender and training of researchers, (7) rationalities balise medical studies in acupuncture clinic in Brazil. It is considered that the production of papers has been growing over the years and the production of theses has been constant. The research topics are varied and can be summarized in pain, symptoms, psychological and quality of life, immunity, tissue regeneration and nervous system effects. The types of acupuncture were studied acupuncture systemic auriculopuncture, Craniopuncture, laserpuncture and electroacupuncture, and in some works were valued more than a technical one and three work involved. The institution has produced more work is then UNIFESP, USP, UNICAMP and FAMERP. The Southeast region is the largest producer of jobs with 76% followed by the south and northeast with 20% to 4%. St. Paul is the only state where they were produced theses and has 56, 8% of the dissertation, followed by Rio Grande do Sul with 10.8%, Paraná and Santa Catarina with 8.1%, Rio de Janeiro and Ceará, 5.4% and Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo to 2.7%. The area is training of medical researchers (52%), physiotherapy (29%), dentistry (11%), nursing (4%) and speech therapy and social science 2%. The largest number of researches are male (56%) and 44% are female. The medical rationale for guiding clinical studies on acupuncture involving humansin Brazil is biomedical.
