Relatório de Estágio Acesso aberto Análise da utilização de aditivo anti-blocking em filmes plásticos flexíveis de polietileno extrudados com aparas de stretch(2019) Timm, Victor BertiThis project aims to analyze different chemical formulations for extrusion of tubular plastic films in relation to their final blocking characteristics, as well as their viability and costs. In the scenario of the current Brazilian plastic industry there is a high number of already used plastic products and packaging that have lost their function and became unusable for society, being classified as waste. Waste is a major environmental problem that needs the great attention of society, and it is essential to develop means that make them useful again and enable their recovery. In the plastic sector there is a wide variety of chips, which is the name given to plastic films that have lost their usefulness. One of these classes of chips are those originated from stretch, polymeric material that can come from different raw materials. However, as it provides blocking characteristics to plastic packaging when its chips are added to the extrusion of tubular films, it is impracticable to use it in large quantities. Thus the need arises for the addition of an additive that removes or significantly reduces this blocking feature of the film. These additives already exist in the market and are popularly known with Antiblock additives. Thus, different mixtures of virgin LDPE and LLDPE plastic resins, stretch chips and Antiblock additive were formulated, which were sent for extrusion and subsequent blocking test. Finally, the obtained samples were classified according to their block level and a cost comparison between formulations without additive and with Antiblock additive. Some samples presented with excellent results when compared to currently extruded films with stretch percentages, in the industry, so its practice was suggested.
