OBJETIVO: O L-PRF (Fibrina Rica em Plaquetas e Leucócitos) é um material autógeno obtido a partir da centrifugação controlada do plasma. Esse material tem sido utilizado com o objetivo de acelerar a reparação dos tecidos moles e ósseo, além de facilitar o processo de cicatrização. O objetivo do nosso trabalho é realizar uma Revisão Sistemática sobre o uso do L-PRF nas extrações de terceiros molares inferiores e responder uma pergunta chave: Se o uso do L-PRF leva a efeitos benéficos no pós-operatório dos pacientes submetidos a esse tipo de procedimento cirúrgico?
METODOLOGIA: Realizar uma pesquisa digital com metodização por palavra-chave no sistema de busca de bibliotecas digitais (PubMed, LILACS) sobre o uso do L-PRF e identificar artigos científicos publicados na língua inglesa que relacionem o uso desse material as cirurgias de extração de terceiros molares.
RESULTADOS PARCIAIS: O processo inicial de busca 10 artigos científicos foram selecionados. Os resultados iniciais indicam que o uso do L-PRF diminui significativamente a dor e o edema no pós-operatório, menor trismo. Tanto A-PRF quanto L-PRF induziram o fechamento artificial de feridas significativamente mais rápido do que os grupos controles.
PURPOSE: L-PRF (Fibrin Rich in Platelets and Leukocytes) is an autogenous material obtained from controlled plasma centrifugation. This material has been used with the objective of accelerating the repair of soft tissue and bone, in addition to facilitating the healing process. The objective of our work is to carry out a Systematic Review on the use of L-PRF in lower third molar extractions and answer a key question: If the use of L-PRF leads to beneficial effects in the postoperative period of patients undergoing this type of surgical procedure? METHODOLOGY: Conduct a digital research with keyword methodization in the digital library search system (PubMed, LILACS) on the use of L-PRF and identify scientific articles published in English that relate the use of this material to extraction surgeries. third molars. PARTIAL RESULTS: The initial search process 10 scientific articles were selected. Initial results indicate that the use of L-PRF significantly decreases postoperative pain and edema, less trismus. Both A-PRF and L-PRF induced artificial wound closure significantly faster than control groups.
