dc.description.abstract	This work is the result of our reading of “A casa das sete mulheres” (The seven women’s house), a 2002 novel by Leticia Wierzchowski. Our intent was to analyze the work with the objective to identify the presence of the unusual in it, verifying to which extent these elements contribute to bring the novel closer to the fantastic literature. The reference to the fantastic literature is identified in other works from the author and is also quoted by her in some of her writings. Our goal was born from a first reading, that captured us through passages from the plot that bring “supernatural” elements and events. This first contact with the book mobilized us for a more daring reading, in which we started to analyze it considering evidences found there, such as the epigraph dedicated to Jorge Luis Borges, and other references, such as interviews granted by the writer. To achieve the proposed goal, we developed a qualitative bibliographic research, mediated by the discussion proposed by Todorov (1970), Eco (1967 and 1987) and Garcia (2007). At the end of the investigative path, we concluded that the unusual elements presented in Leticia Wierzchowski's narrative are not sufficient to characterize the work as belonging to the fantastic genre. However, a less insightful reader may be led to this classification.	en
dc.description.abstract	O trabalho aqui apresentado resulta de uma leitura do romance A casa das sete mulheres (2002), de Leticia Wierzchowski. Nossa proposta visou analisar a referida obra tendo por objetivo identificar nela a presença de elementos do insólito, verificando até que ponto esses elementos contribuem para aproximar a obra da literatura fantástica. A referência à literatura fantástica é identificada em outros trabalhos da autora, sendo, ainda, citada por ela em alguns dos seus escritos. Nosso objetivo nasceu de uma primeira leitura, que nos capturou por passagens do enredo que trazem elementos e acontecimentos “sobrenaturais”. Esse primeiro contato com o livro nos mobilizou para uma leitura mais ousada na qual passamos a analisá-lo considerando indícios ali encontrados, como a epígrafe dedicada a Jorge Luis Borges, e outras referências, como entrevistas concedidas pela escritora. Para alcançar o objetivo proposto, elaboramos uma pesquisa qualitativa de caráter bibliográfico, mediada pela discussão proposta por Todorov (1970), Eco (1969 e 1987), e Garcia (2007). Ao final do percurso investigativo, concluímos que os elementos insólitos presentes na narrativa de Leticia Wierzchowski não são suficientes para caracterizar a obra como pertencente ao gênero fantástico. No entanto, um leitor menos perspicaz pode ser levado a essa classificação.	pt_BR
