Resumo
A presente pesquisa se propõe a estudar um caso sobre matricídio. Para tanto, analisamos o caso de Edmund Emil Kemper III, notório serial killer norte-americano que assassinou seus avós paternos, desmembrou seis jovens estudantes universitárias e, finalmente, sua mãe e sua melhor amiga. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como qualitativa, de faceta explicativa e temporalidade transversal, e ainda faz uso da pesquisa teórica sobre psicanálise. A relevância do estudo está pautada na escassez de matérias e pesquisas derivadas sobre a temática, fator que ressalta o tabu que o tema carrega. Durante o estudo, vimos que a infância e a figura materna foram relevantes para a instauração da psicose em Kemper, e a sua fixação no estádio do espelho.
The present research proposes to study a case about matricide. To this end, we analyze the case of Edmund Emil Kemper III, a notorious American serial killer who murdered his paternal grandparents, and dismembered six young college students, and finally his mother and his best friend. The research is characterized as qualitative, with an explanatory facet, and crosssectional temporality, and makes use of theoretical research on psychoanalysis. The relevance of the study is based on the scarcity of articles and derived research on the theme, a factor that highlights the taboo that the subject carries. During the study, we see that childhood and the relationship with the mother figure were relevant for the onset of psychosis in Kemper, and his fixation on the mirror stadium
