O autismo é uma síndrome comportamental que afeta o desenvolvimento motor e
psiconeurológico, que reflete na criança uma condição complexa, em que as ações
nutricionais corretas e eficazes contribuem para o desenvolvimento e qualidade de
vida destes indivíduos. Este estudo é uma revisão de literatura do tipo narrativa e
tem como objetivo analisar a qualidade da microbiota intestinal em indivíduos com
Transtorno do Espectro Autista. A composição da pesquisa foi feita em bases de
dados eletrônicos, como: PubMED, Scielo e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. Conforme
os termos de busca, foram encontrados 85 artigos e, em seguida, aplicados os
critérios de inclusão e exclusão, contabilizando 36 artigos, preferencialmente nos
últimos cinco anos. De acordo com os artigos analisados para compor a revisão
integrativa, foram constatados a importância de uma dieta adequada para a saúde e
bem-estar de crianças com transtorno do espectro autista e na composição da
microbiota intestinal. Existe uma forte associação entre a microbiota intestinal, eixo
cérebro-intestino e estilo de vida alimentar.
Autism is a behavioral syndrome that affects motor and psychoneurological development, which reflects a complex condition in children, in which correct nutritional actions occur for the development and quality of life of these individuals. This study is a literature review of the narrative type and aims to analyze the quality of the intestinal microbiota in individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.. The composition of the research was carried out in electronic databases, such as: PubMED, Scielo and Virtual Health Library. According to the search terms, 85 articles were found and then the inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, accounting for 36 articles, preferably in the last five years. According to the articles analyzed to compose an integrative review, the importance of an adequate diet for the health and well-being of children with autism spectrum disorder and the composition of the intestinal microbiota were verified. There is a strong association between the intestinal microbiota, brain-gut axis and dietary lifestyle.
