| dc.description.abstract | This study presents a reading of Brazilian theatrical textuality produced in the nineteenth century. To this end, it was developed as general objective to analyze the aspects of the theatrical play Como se fazia um deputado, (1863), by França Júnior (1838-1890), with emphasis on the representation of politics and society in the nineteenth century. The specific objectives sought to discuss some elements of the theory of the theater as well as to investigate the inclusion of slave songs, discuss the concepts of political and social behavior, in order to assess how the theatrical plot illustrates the transition moments of the scene to the politics and society of that time. This work is qualitative, considering the assumptions set by the bibliography research, in which it was intend to develop theoretical reflections that provided support for the analysis undertaken. The choice of theme was made by checking the relevance of the study of theatrical plays as a possibility for the evaluation of societies in the times and places. Thus, studies of art, moments in the history of Brazil and particularly the attitude of the characters, which indicate the presence of cultural aspects of what is called "Coronelism", bring to the scene the author's view on moments of history of the Brazilian society and the politics of the nineteenth century. This perspective offers the opportunity to also evaluate if their recurrence occurs in the society of our time. The development of the bibliographic study searched to include elements of theatrical theory, plot, characters, space, environment and time. We emphasize that the piece Como se fazia um deputado detached considerations noted playwright França Júnior on the political dealings, slavery, immigrants and marriage arrangements of the nineteenth century, and these recur in our society. It was conclude, from this study, the importance of research on the theatrical art, specially França Júnior¿s work. The author, colored by their creativity and originality, reveals the subjective and the universal character of his play, showing the capacity, from his time, prompting reflections on aspects of this legacy of the nineteenth century, still observed nowadays. | en |
| dc.description.abstract | Este estudo apresenta uma leitura da textualidade teatral brasileira produzida no século XIX. Para tanto, delineamos como objetivo geral analisar aspectos da peça teatral Como se fazia um deputado, (1863), de França Júnior (1838-1890), com ênfase na representação da política e da sociedade no século XIX. Os objetivos específicos procuraram discorrer sobre alguns elementos da teoria do teatro, bem como investigar a inclusão de canções de escravos, discutir sobre as concepções de termos políticos e comportamento social, com o intuito de avaliar como o enredo teatral ilustra a passagem de momentos da cena à política e à sociedade da época. Este estudo possui caráter qualitativo, contemplando os pressupostos enunciados pela pesquisa bibliográfica, no qual pretendemos elaborar as reflexões teóricas que proporcionaram suporte para a análise empreendida. A opção pelo tema deu-se por verificarmos a relevância do estudo de peças teatrais como possibilidade de avaliação das sociedades nos tempos e lugares. Assim, investigações sobre a arte, os momentos da história do Brasil e, particularmente, a postura dos personagens, que enunciam a presença de aspectos da cultura do que se denomina de ¿coronelismo¿, trazem à cena a visão do autor sobre momentos da história da sociedade e da política brasileira do século XIX. Tal perspectiva apresenta a possibilidade de também avaliar se ocorre sua reincidência na sociedade deste nosso tempo. O desenvolvimento do estudo bibliográfico procurou contemplar os elementos da teoria teatral, enredo, personagens, espaço, ambiente e o tempo. Enfatizamos que a peça Como se fazia um deputado destacou as considerações do dramaturgo França Júnior sobre as tratativas políticas, a escravidão, o imigrante e arranjos matrimoniais do século XIX, e que esses reincidem em nossa sociedade. Concluímos, a partir de nossos estudos, a importância de investigações sobre a arte teatral, em especial a obra de França Júnior. Percebemos que o autor, colorido por sua criatividade e originalidade, revela o caráter subjetivo e universal de sua peça, evidenciando a capacidade de, a partir de seu tempo, provocar reflexões sobre aspectos desse legado do século XIX, observados ainda nos dias atuais. | pt_BR |
