| pt |
dc.description.abstract | Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in women is caused by weakening of the pelvic floor, occurring during activities that increase abdominal pressure. Factors such as physiological changes, method of delivery, and number of pregnancies contribute to this problem. This study aims to critically analyze the current literature on the efficacy and applicability of Biofeedback and PFMT techniques in the treatment of Stress Urinary Incontinence, highlighting their contributions for clinical practice. In this sense, a literature review was carried out based on journals related to the theme, such as: Pubmed, Cochrane, LILACS and Scielo. With the following descriptors: " urinary incontinence stress", "parity", "biofeedback", "risk factors" and " Pelvic Floor Disorders". The research identified that the results of the association of the use of biofeedback and APT, in an assisted way, was superior when compared to the technique of APMAT, alone, assisted and home, in the cure of the SUI. Therefore, the combined approach of techniques such as biofeedback and PFMT makes it possible to understand the contribution of pelvic rehabilitation in the treatment of urinary incontinence in women. In this context, the role of the physiotherapist enables patients to adhere to the proposed treatments, thus contributing to more effective results. | en |
