By the year 2060 it is expected that the elderly population will grow seven times more than in the year 2000. Aging is a natural physiological process and all body tissues are affected, but the skin expresses this process in a more perceptible way. The search for skin rejuvenation has increased more and more and, in this advance, collagen biostimulators are excellent allies to aesthetic procedures. Biostimulators are injectable products, absorbable and compatible with the human body, whose main function is to stimulate collagen production in the treated area through microspheres, bringing more volume, contour and firmness to the region. Therefore, the work in question proposes to compare the biostimulators polylactic acid (PLLA), polycaprolactone (PCL) and calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) in relation to composition and durability, as well as the ideal application sites, indications, contraindications. indications and intercurrences in relation to use. Faced with the increasing use of biostimulators, it is extremely important to know the brands in depth. Understanding the characteristics of each product, its formulas and mastering the indications for use, as well as the contraindications, are important in order to avoid intercurrences. The bibliographic search began in August 2022, in the Pubmed, Scielo and Google Scholar databases, in Portuguese and English, covering articles published between 2011 and 2022. The descriptors “collagen”, “rejuvenation” and “skin aging”, according to the consultation carried out in the DeCS/MeSH-Descriptors in Health Sciences. Inclusion criteria included articles that addressed collagen biostimulators, skin aging, facial rejuvenation and articles on Ellansé®, Radiesse® and Sculptra® brands. On the other hand, as an exclusion criterion, studies that did not address the main theme or research prior to the year 2008 were disregarded.
