Posture is considered a dynamic connection of body segments, however, withchildren'sdaily activities, these segments suffer misalignment, presenting a high incidenceof postural changes. Objective: Toanalyzethe performance ofthe pilates method (PM) as analternativetreatment for postural deviations in children. Methods: Thiswasanintegrativeliterature review carried out in thedatabases: PubMed, Scielo and Google Scholar usingthedescriptors: pilates method, lowbackpain, postural changes, childrenandtheirrespectivecorrespondents in English in SeptemberandOctober 2022. Inclusionandexclusioncriteriawerearticles on PM in postural correctionsand postural changes in childrenavailable in full, in Portuguese andEnglish, from 2016 to 2022. Thesesandmonographsandduplicatestudies in databasesandarticleswereexcluded. whodidnotfullydetail MP. The articleswereanalyzedandselectedaccordingtothefollowingvariables: PM for children as analternativetreatment for postural changes, mainresultsanddifficultiesfaced. Results: After a carefulanalysis, sixarticleswereselectedtocomposethis review, whichreportedthe PM as analternativetreatment for postural changes in childrenandthatansweredthe guiding question, in some studies it waspossibleto observe thatthe PM presented positive results, decreasinganddelaying postural deviations, butalsostudiesdidnot show positive results, buttherewas a stagnationof postural deviationstriggered in childhood. Conclusion: PM providesbetter postural alignment, as it is a techniquebased on exercisesthatintegratestrength, breathingandstretching, whichconsequently improves posturebyreducing postural changes.
