O Transtorno do Déficit de Atenção e Hiperatividade (TDAH) é uma doença neurológica que afeta a cognição dos pacientes acometidos por ela, sendo uma doença que atinge cerca de 3% da população no mundo, sua característica é evidenciada por uma tríade de sintomas como visto em literatura, sua sintomatologia está na hiperatividade, impulsividade e desatenção, que por sua vez abala a vida do indivíduo em suas relações acadêmicas e sociais.Diante do exposto, esse trabalho trata de uma revisão de literatura sobre as anfetaminas usadas em tratamento do TDAH, somando-se ao estudo evidencias de eficácia, custo benefício, efeitos adversos e adesão dos psicofármacos lixdexanfetamina e metilfenidato, como também a importância do acompanhamento farmacoterapêutico com um profissional farmacêutico.As bases de dados utilizados foram: NationalLibraryofMedicine (PubMed MEDLINE) e ScientificEletronicLibrary Online (SCIELO), Google Acadêmico. Somando-se ao estudo foram revisados 40 artigos científicos e selecionados 26 para a construção do presente artigo, com palavras chaves: TDAH,Anfetaminas,Tratamento Medicamentoso,e assistência farmacêutica.
