dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Lumbar pain and urinary incontinence (UI) are commons in pregnancy, due to physiological and anatomical changes. Isostreching® is a global postural method that strengthens and flexes the muscles, adjusting posture, flexibility and promotes body awareness. Purpose: To verify the applicability of the Isostretching® method in the musculoskeletal alterations during pregnancy and valuate the improvement of the quality of life and UI after the physiotherapeutic treatment. Methods: Experimental study of a qualitative approach, composed of 8 pregnant women where the evaluation was done through the anamnesis form, Kings Health Questionnary (KHQ) and Rolland Morris Questionnaire. Results: The results of the Roland Morris Questionnaire were not significant when compared before and after low back pain, with p= 0.088 (p >0.05). In the comparison of KHQ before and after the intervention, we can observe that the result is statistically significant in the variables: sleep and disposition (p= 0.016), and severity measures (p= 0.027), (p <0.05). Conclusion: Isostretching® was considered beneficial, related to pain relief, quality of life and urinary incontinence, being simple to perform and relatively effective. | en |
| pt_BR |
