Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) and Work-Related Musculoskeletal Diseases (WMSDs) are syndromes resulting exclusively from repetitive movements, which can also occur when segments of the body remain in certain positions for a long period of time. prevalent in work environments and which largely affect workers who are subjected to risk factors such as: repetitiveness, exposure to vibrations, forceful actions with the hand or fingers or extreme postures. The treatment of these injuries includes an interdisciplinary approach, in which the physiotherapist plays a very important role in the process of evaluation, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of these patients. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the importance of Physiotherapy in the treatment of Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI) and Work-Related Musculoskeletal Diseases (WMSDs), and understand how the physiotherapist's role in such diseases is constituted. A bibliographic survey of materials was carried out in the electronic databases, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), the VHL Regional Portal – Virtual Health Library, the USP Digital Library, and the Ministry of Health – Federal Government. After analyzing the materials, 8 articles were selected that addressed issues surrounding RSI/WMSD, and the physiotherapist's role in dealing with these disorders. We observed that physiotherapists are extremely important in order to achieve an improvement in the quality of life of workers, reducing their pain and increasing their outlook on life and their return to work.
