| dc.description.abstract | Este artigo discute as percepções acerca da conciliação do papel de mãe lactante e trabalhadora. A pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar como as mães trabalhadoras lactantes percebem sua saúde enquanto estão amamentando seus filhos e, ao mesmo tempo, exercendo seu papel como trabalhadoras. Para cumprir tal objetivo, foram entrevistadas 9 mães trabalhadoras, lactantes de seu primeiro filho. Trata-se de uma pesquisa com caráter qualitativo, pois buscou as percepções subjetivas acerca da conciliação entre profissional e mãe lactante. Quanto aos resultados, foi possível identificar que a compreensão sobre as leis trabalhistas se deu através dos meios aos quais as entrevistadas tinham ligação empregatícia; quanto ao benefício da amamentação para saúde materna e do bebê, foi possível identificar questões de ordens físicas e mentais. O benefício da amamentação à saúde materna, no entanto, é percebido como de aspecto mental, destacando-se o vínculo afetivo criado entre mãe-bebê durante a prática, com vantagens psicológicas significativas ao bem-estar materno. Mediante a análise da conciliação entre os papéis da mulher trabalhadora e mãe lactante, verificou-se, também, dificuldades no âmbito físico, ambiental/institucional e mentais, considerando leis falhas e insuficientes à promoção e incentivo à amamentação, inclusive a seu tempo mínimo estabelecido pelos órgãos mundiais de saúde. Foi possível identificar a preocupação das entrevistadas com relação a outras mães que têm seus direitos e opções em amamentar interrompidos por tais falhas legais. | pt |
| dc.description.abstract | This article discusses perceptions surrounding reconciling the role of the nursing and working mother. The research aimed to analyze how nursing, working mothers perceive their health while they are breastfeeding their children and, at the same time, exercising their role as workers. To fulfill this objective, 9 working mothers, breastfeeding their first child, were interviewed. This is a qualitative research, as it sought subjective perceptions about the reconciliation between the professional and breastfeeding mother. As for the results, it was possible to identify that the understanding of labor laws occurred through the means to which the interviewees had employment links; regarding the benefit of breastfeeding for both the mother and baby’s health, it was possible to identify physical and mental issues. The benefit of breastfeeding to maternal health, however, is perceived as being of a mental aspect, highlighting the effective bond created between mother and infant during breastfeeding, with significant psychological advantages for maternal well-being. Through the analysis of the reconciliation between the roles of working women and breastfeeding mothers, difficulties in the physical, environmental/institutional and mental spheres were also observed, taking in to account faulty and insufficient laws to promote and encourage breastfeeding, including the minimum time established by the world health organization. It was possible to identify the interviewees' concern regarding other mothers who have their rights and options to breastfeed interrupted by such legal failures. | en |
