Além disso, causa ineficiência do
capacidade pulmonar total e vital.
Stroke has characteristics in each individual, and may present social and daily life impairment, difficulties with cognitive and motor sequelae, such as hemiparesis. Furthermore, it causes inefficiency of the oropharyngeal mechanism in swallowing and breathing, thus reducing total and vital lung capacity. Usual therapies (ATS) denote being an intervention of physiotherapeutic knowledge and promising, with good therapeutic potential, being easy to apply and with a good prognosis for the patient, stimulating (exciting or inhibiting) cardiorespiratory complications, alleviating their symptoms mediated by stroke in the central nervous system. An integrative literature review was carried out to investigate the influence, benefits, neurofunctional and cardiorespiratory gains of ATS in adults and adolescents with stroke. 8 relevant studies were used, which show that usual therapies bring improvements in symptoms, motor and violations. Although the literature shows all the effectiveness of ATS specifically with the 6-minute walk test and training with threshold equipment, due to the scarcity in the literature it is necessary to produce new research, with more rigor in the protocols of disciplines, whether in the short and in the long term.
