Resumo
Neste artigo iremos analisar as plataformas digitais chinesas e os seus impactos sociais, com foco no WeChat e Tiktok, buscando entender como estes aplicativos móveis impactam o dia-a-dia dos cidadãos chineses positivamente ou negativamente. No decorrer do artigo, também observamos como essas plataformas possuem atuação nas relações internacionais da China com o uso de soft power, que se apresenta principalmente com a coleta de dados. Por fim, utilizamos o conceito de plataformização abordado por Helmond (2015), que defende a tese que as plataformas são um modelo econômico e infraestrutural dominante como base para nossas conclusões sobre os impactos sociais dessas plataformas digitais.
In this article we will study how Chinese citizens and their social platforms, focusing on WeChat and Tiktok, seeking how these mobile applications impact the Chinese citizens on a daily basis positively or negatively. In the course of the article, we also observe how these platforms have a role in China's international relations with the use of soft power, which is mainly presented with data collection. Finally, we use the concept of platformization defended by Helmond (2015), which says that platforms are a dominant infrastructure and business model, to give our conclusion on the social impacts of these digital plataforms.
