Resumo
O objetivo deste estudo e identificar a atuação de enfermagem durante o tratamento de mulheres com câncer de mama realizando uma análise frente a detecção precoce e prevenção. Para isso, realizamos uma busca através de artigos sobre cuidados de enfermagem, saúde da mulher e o câncer de mama, a fim de identificar a atuação dos profissionais enfermeiros. A questão que norteou o artigo foi: "Qual o papel da enfermagem no cuidado às mulheres no tratamento de câncer de mama, em todos os níveis de atuação visando o bem-estar geral?". Para responder tal indagação foi realizado uma revisão integrativa do tipo descritiva e qualitativa. A análise de conteúdo foi utilizada, para identificar como os profissionais enfermeiros atuam neste âmbito.
Método: trata-se de uma revisão integrativa. A busca das publicações foi realizada na seguinte base de dados Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online (Medline), Base de dados de Enfermagem (BDENF), Literatura Latinoamericana e do Caribe em Ciências e Saúde (LILACS) e Índice Bibliográfico Espanhol em Ciências de la Salud (IBECS).
Resultado e discussão: Além disso, as mulheres com câncer de mama passam por diversas etapas, começando pela suspeita e depois investigando com conhecimento científico e senso de responsabilidade, que podem ser auxiliados pelo enfermeiro. Portanto, os enfermeiros necessitam de qualificação teórica e experiência prática para orientar sobre cuidados, exames, diagnóstico e opções de tratamento.
Considerações finais: conclui-se, portanto, que a atuação do enfermeiro no tratamento de pacientes com câncer de mama é abrangente e desempenha um papel na promoção, prevenção e restauração da saúde dessas mulheres, contudo as ações do enfermeiro ainda são frágeis visto que alguns possuem baixo nível de conhecimento teórico e técnico sobre o diagnóstico precoce o que torna necessário qualificá-los para prestar um cuidado.
The aim of this study is to identify the role of nursing during the treatment of women with breast cancer, analyzing early detection and prevention. To do this, we searched through articles on nursing care, women's health and breast cancer, in order to identify the role of professional nurses. The question that guided the article was: "What is the role of nursing in caring for women undergoing breast cancer treatment, at all levels of activity, with a view to general wellbeing?". To answer this question, a descriptive and qualitative integrative review was carried out. Content analysis was used to identify how professional nurses work in this area. Method: This is an integrative review. The publications were searched in the following databases: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline), Nursing Database (BDENF), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Spanish Bibliographic Index in Health Sciences (IBECS). Results and discussion: In addition, women with breast cancer go through several stages, starting with suspicion and then investigating with scientific knowledge and a sense of responsibility, which can be helped by nurses. Therefore, nurses need theoretical qualifications and practical experience to advise on care, examinations, diagnosis and treatment options. Final considerations: it can therefore be concluded that the role of nurses in the treatment of breast cancer patients is wide-ranging and plays a role in promoting, preventing and restoring the health of these women. However, nurses' actions are still fragile since some of them have a low level of theoretical and technical knowledge about early diagnosis, which makes it necessary to qualify them to provide systematic care.
