dc.description.abstract	This undergraduate thesis has as its major objective to analyze how a hunger scenario affects the international system’s security, once food safety is a strong stabilizer factor and the shake in its management can directly affect the modus operandis of the global community, triggering a big change in the balance of power. It’s useful to mention the extreme relevancy of this study to the academy, to the experts in international relations and to the community as well, given the way the food geopolitics is structured. Big corporations achieved the international actor’s status and for that, are able to manipulate state’s behavior in order to achieve their goals and maintain their survival. This scenario makes us walk in a tenuous line between safety and war in search of the essential resources for the maintenance of human life on the planet. The methodology of this research is naturally basic, its approach is qualitative, and regarding its objectives it is bibliographic, documentary, exploratory and descriptive. Besides, in order to achieve the main goal, two specifics points were structured as guides of this thesis, being them: conceptualize the expression ‘geopolitics’ and ‘food safety’; present how the differences between countries reflect in agriculture and food security; and, understand, from cases, the interference of the geopolitics of food in the security of the international system. For a better understanding, this paper is divided into three sections: the first one will approach the concepts of the first specific point; the second one will introduce, in light of the concepts already discussed, the differences between central and peripheral countries that implies in the farming and the food security; and the last one will present cases that enable the practical understanding of the hunger and food security effects in the international community. Moreover, it must also be said that the result obtained with this undergraduate thesis is the better organization of a thought that links the food industry to the international safety, henceforth the power correlation that set the guidelines of power on its space dimension. dc.description.abstract	Este trabalho de conclusão de curso tem como principal finalidade analisar como um cenário de fome afeta a segurança do sistema internacional, uma vez que a segurança alimentar é um forte fator de estabilização do sistema e o abalo em seu gerenciamento atinge diretamente o modus operandis da comunidade global, sendo capaz de alterar a balança de poder. Cabe ressaltar a extrema relevância deste trabalho para a academia, para os especialistas de relações internacionais e para a comunidade em geral, haja vista a forma pela qual está estruturada a geopolítica do alimento. As grandes corporações atingiram o status de atores internacionais e hoje atuam no sistema global de forma a manipular o comportamento estatal, no intuito de atingir seus objetivos e de manter sua sobrevivência. Este cenário faz com que andemos em uma linha tênue entre segurança e guerra na busca pelos recursos necessários à manutenção da vida humana no planeta. No que diz respeito à metodologia da presente pesquisa, essa é de natureza básica, de abordagem qualitativa, e com relação aos seus objetivos, é bibliográfica, documental, explicativa e descritiva. Além disso, no anseio de atingir o objetivo principal, foram estruturados três objetivos específicos como guias deste estudo acadêmico, sendo eles: abordar os conceitos de ‘geopolítica’ e ‘segurança alimentar’; apresentar como as diferenças entre os países refletem na agricultura e segurança alimentar; e, compreender, a partir de casos, a interferência da geopolítica do alimento na segurança do sistema internacional. Para melhor entendimento, o presente trabalho está dividido em trêsseções: a primeira abordará os conceitos do primeiro objetivo específico; seguidamente, será introduzido, à luz dos conceitos já abordados, as diferenças entre os países centrais e periféricos, que implicam na agricultura e na segurança alimentar; posteriormente, apresentar-se-á casos que possibilitem a visualização prática dos efeitos e implicações da fome e da (in)segurança alimentar na comunidade internacional. Conclui-se dizendo que o resultado obtido com essa pesquisa é a melhor organização de um traçado que una a indústria alimentícia à segurança internacional, doravante a correlação de forças que estabelecem as diretrizes do poder na sua dimensão espacial.
