Resumo
Introdução: As Unidades de Terapia Intensiva são destinadas a pacientes em
situações graves, que necessitam de cuidados avançados, com equipe
constituída por multiprofissionais. Devido ao longo período de permanência ao
leito, bem como o processo de intubação, o paciente pode vir a desenvolver
problemas respiratórios e motores, tendo o trabalho do fisioterapeuta, que é
essencial para a prevenção e a promoção da autonomia do paciente. Objetivo:
Dissertar a importância da atuação do fisioterapeuta na prevenção das
complicações respiratórias e motoras em pacientes internados nas UTIs.
Metodologia: Para a construção dessa pesquisa, foi realizada uma revisão
integrativa, tendo como fonte as coletas de dados: SCIELO, LILACS e BVS.
Resultados: Após análise dos artigos, foram selecionados 06 estudos, todos
relacionando a importância da fisioterapia para autonomia do paciente após o
longo período de internamento nas UTI’S. Conclusão: As UTI’S são compostas
por diversos profissionais, tendo cada um, responsabilidade em um cuidado, o
da fisioterapia é de proporcionar a independência do paciente após períodos de
alto tratamento intensivo.
Introduction: Intensive Care Units are intended for patients in serious situations, which they need advanced care, with a team made up of multidisciplinary professionals. Due to the long period of stay in bed, as well as the intubation process, the patient may develop respiratory and motor problems, having the work of the physiotherapist, that is essential for the prevention and promotion of the patient's autonomy. Objective: To discuss the importance of the role of the physiotherapist in the prevention of respiratory and motor complications in patients admitted to ICUs. Methodology: For the construction of this research, an integrative review was carried out, with the source of data collection: SCIELO, LILACS and VHL. Results: After analyzing the articles, 06 studies were selected, all relating the importance of physiotherapy to patient autonomy after the long period of hospitalization in ICUs. Conclusion: The ICUs are composed of several professionals, each one having, responsibility for a care, the physiotherapy one is to provide the patient's independence after periods of high intensive treatment.
