In the face of the Coronavirus pandemic, the world experienced a growth in the number of adoptions and purchases of domestic animals by people who sought to meet the companionship needs that the loneliness of social isolation entailed. In this context of unpredictability, most of these adoptions and purchases were made in an unplanned way, subsequently leading to an increase in the rates of abandonment of animals, which found the streets and shelters/NGOs as their destination. Parallel to this, the social model based on the capitalist production system in which society finds itself leaves people's health, whether physical, mental or emotional, increasingly neglected. Furthermore, there is a growth in studies by psychologists regarding the benefits of using animals as a form of therapeutic treatment, through Animal-Assisted Interversions (AAI). From this information, acquired through a bibliographical, descriptive and documental methodology, the proposal of a Cat Cafe in the city of Mossoró, in Rio Grande do Norte, is guided with the objective of creating a space in which cats, along with the environment itself, act as relaxers, so that people can enjoy a cozy space with the company of felines, and mitigate the impacts of the stresses of everyday life on their health. In this process, references were studied directly, indirectly and formally, in addition to analyzing concepts of accessibility, landscaping and thermal and lighting comfort, aiming at creating an establishment able to best receive different profiles of people.
