Resumo
Este trabalho aborda a interseção entre o luto, o envelhecimento e a construção da autoimagem
na perspectiva fenomenológica existencial humanista. Com o aumento da expectativa de vida,
é fundamental compreender as experiências emocionais e existenciais dos idosos,
especialmente diante das perdas inevitáveis que acompanham o processo de envelhecimento.
A consciência de si torna-se crucial nesse contexto, permitindo aos idosos enfrentar as perdas
e transições com significado e aceitação. A pesquisa justifica-se pela relevância científica e
social do tema, oferecendo insights para a prática clínica e promovendo uma cultura de apoio
aos idosos. Adotando uma abordagem qualitativa, o estudo busca compreender profundamente
o fenômeno do luto e seu impacto na autopercepção dos idosos, utilizando revisões
bibliográficas e ferramentas digitais para selecionar e analisar artigos acadêmicos pertinentes.
O objetivo é contribuir para uma compreensão mais ampla das experiências dos idosos no
contexto do envelhecimento e do luto, enriquecendo tanto o conhecimento teórico quanto as
práticas de cuidado com essa população.
This project addresses the intersection between grief, aging and the construction of self-image in the humanistic existential phenomenological perspective. With the increase in life expectancy, it is essential to understand the emotional and existential experiences of the elderly, especially in the face of the inevitable losses that accompany the aging process. Self-awareness becomes crucial in this context, allowing older adults to face losses and transitions with meaning and acceptance. The research is justified by the scientific and social relevance of the topic, offering insights for clinical practice and promoting a culture of support for the elderly. Adopting a qualitative approach, the study seeks to deeply understand the phenomenon of grief and its impact on the self-perception of the elderly, using literature reviews and digital tools to select and analyze pertinent academic articles. The objective is to contribute to a broader understanding of the experiences of the elderly in the context of aging and grief, enriching both theoretical knowledge and care practices for this population.
