The study aims to delve into the analysis of the variation in automobile prices, exploring their evolution from conception, through Fordism and Toyotism, and investigating the state of the Brazilian and global automotive production chain in the pre and post-pandemic periods through economic, social, and technological factors and variables, and how they interfere with the final value of vehicles. Changes in consumer preference patterns, impacts of public policies linked to health restrictions, and the challenges faced by suppliers in the global value chains in automotive production will be examined. The study's objective is related to the analysis of the relationship between aggregate supply and demand when there is interference from exogenous factors that affect the final price of vehicles, such as the shortage of chips and semiconductors, a key raw material. Additionally, to meet a global demand for safety and comfort, the strategies adopted by manufacturers in the concept of technology will be explored.
