Resumo
Introdução: A COVID-19, doença de disseminação muito rápida que causa infecção respiratória aguda grave, teve como perfil dos indivíduos hospitalizados pessoas de faixa etária maior que 70 anos, sendo esse período de internamento um momento vivido com mais ansiedade, podendo surgir repercussões no âmbito biológico, psicológico e social. Objetivo: O presente trabalho tem como objetivo abranger as repercussões sociais da COVID-19 na vida da pessoa idosa acometida e os seus efeitos clínicos e psicológicos para aqueles que testaram positivo para a doença. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica integrativa desenvolvida e embasada a partir de arquivos disponíveis na integra e temáticas com foco nos anos de 2019 a 2023, consultados em base de dados como Google acadêmico, ‘LILACS’ (Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde), ‘SciELO’ (Scientific Electronic Library Online), ‘Science.gov’, sendo selecionados arquivos a partir dos descritores “saúde do idoso”, “COVID-19’, “doença respiratória”, “vulnerabilidade”, “isolamento social” em idiomas de português e inglês. Foi realizado a primeira filtragem dos artigos a partir da leitura dos títulos e resumos, e a segunda a partir dos objetivos de cada pesquisa, totalizando 29 artigos utilizados para o embasamento da pesquisa. Resultados e Discussão: O período pandêmico gerou um impacto muito grande, e o isolamento social fez com que desencadeasse não só problemas em relação ao vírus, mas também na saúde mental e nas atividades que eram realizadas na rotina da pessoa idosa. Conclusão: Com o avanço da doença e os seus obstáculos fez-se necessário o aprofundamento e entendimento da situação que se encontrou este grupo de pessoas durante este período com o intuito de realizar intervenções que irá fornecer um cuidado maior e mais humanizado oferecendo uma assistência de qualidade e segurança a este grupo da sociedade humana.
Introduction: COVID-19, a disease that spreads very quickly and causes severe acute respiratory infection, had the profile of hospitalized individuals aged over 70 years, with this period of hospitalization being a moment lived with more anxiety than for individuals of other age groups, and repercussions may arise in the biological, psychological and social spheres. Objective: The present work aims to cover the social repercussions of COVID-19 in the life of the affected elderly person and its clinical and psychological effects for those who tested positive for the disease. Methodology: This is an integrative bibliographic review developed and based on files available in full and themes focused on the years 2019 to 2023, consulted in databases such as Google academic, 'LILACS' (Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribbean in Health Sciences), 'SciELO' (Scientific Electronic Library Online), 'Science.gov', with files selected from the descriptors "elderly health", "COVID-19", "respiratory disease", "vulnerability", “social isolation” in Portuguese and English languages. The first filtering of the articles was carried out from the reading of the titles and abstracts, and the second from the objectives of each research, totaling 29 articles used for the basis of the research. Results and Discussion: The pandemic period had a very large impact, and social isolation caused it to trigger not only problems related to the virus, but also mental health and activities that were carried out in the elderly person's routine. Conclusion: With the advancement of the disease and its obstacles, it was necessary to deepen and understand the situation that this group of people found during this period in order to carry out interventions that will provide greater and more humanized care, offering assistance of quality and safety to this group of human society.
