A técnica inclui Drenagem Linfática Manual (DLM),
bases de dados eletrônicas Pubmed, Scielo e BVS. Foram incluídos estudos que utilizavam as técnicas de Taping terapêutico; Terapia Descongestiva Complexa (CDT);
Introduction: In breast cancer, when aggressive or late, one of the interventions is mastectomy, which can subsequently cause lymphedema. It is already known that Complex Decongestive Therapy (CDT) is considered the gold standard for the treatment of lymphedema. The technique includes Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), skin care, exercises and multi-layer bandages. Another option that has proven to be very effective is the use of Kinesio Taping (KT) with the goal of reducing lymphedema and thus improving patients' quality of life. Objective: The objective of this study was to carry out an integrative literature review to analyze the effectiveness of CDT and KT in the treatment of upper limb lymphedema in women undergoing mastectomies after breast cancer. Methodology: The searches were carried out in the electronic databases Pubmed, Scielo and BVS. Studies that used therapeutic taping techniques were included; Complex Decongestive Therapy (CDT); randomized clinical trial studies; studies with patients with mastectomy related to breast cancer and patients with lymphedema in the upper limbs. Results: There were 24 studies found in the search, and five were selected because they met the criteria previously defined, to be reviewed in this work. Conclusion: The use of KT proved to be more significant when used in conjunction with the CDT technique in the treatment of patients with lymphedema related to breast cancer in mastectomized women.
