This research sought to analyze psychological practices in Primary Health Care, within the Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), beyond the private office and the relationship between a psychologist and a patient, closed in a room — so common in the popular imagination when thinking about the professional activity of psychologists. An approach was carried out, through bibliographical and conceptual theoretical research in the CAPES database, in order to find reports of positive and negative experiences regarding these practices of psychologists in the SUS, from which we were able to collect some information and elaborate some assumptions regarding the situation encountered. The main bottlenecks observed were in the training of professionals, the lack of resources and the public's misinformation and distrust in relation to other psychologists' practices.
