neonatal, anormalidades fetais.
proporcionando a promoção à saúde primária.
adotadas.
This article aims to elucidate the importance of the pharmacist in the management of pharmacotherapy in pregnant women. Pregnancy is a period assessed as a situation of high risk and the use of medications in this stage of life should be carefully evaluated, taking into account the safety of the woman and the fetus, since it may be correlated with the occurrence of abortion, prematurity , neonatal death, fetal abnormalities. Where studies show that, due to all the difficulties that surround the gestational period in terms of primary health care, many are justified by the lack of qualified follow-up due to the limited training of the pharmaceutical professional in the area and / or also the improper management of care oriented to the healthcare team. Cheers. The pharmacist's profession is changing in Brazil. Therefore, pharmaceutical care stands out as one of the most important actions, promoting primary health promotion. Its initial kick-off took place in the late 1970s, with the aim of developing improvements in the patient's quality of life, prioritizing the efficacy and safety of the adopted drug therapies. This profession stands out as a great ally, especially for patients who fall into the risk group, in which we highlight the monitoring of the pregnant woman's pharmacotherapy, in view of its biological peculiarities and the fact that there are few drugs used by this group. In this perspective, the pharmacy professional acts by providing correct guidance, bringing security to pregnant women, and greater and more concrete pharmaceutical assistance to pregnant women is essential, with the aim of better adhering them to the treatment, so that it provides the rational use of medicines and ensure the health of the mother and fetus.
