Resumo
O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o tema de segurança na
América do Sul a partir da política externa do Brasil, desde 2010. Buscando
evidenciar o papel do país como “líder” do bloco, assim como analisar as influências
externas – principalmente advindas dos EUA – e como suas políticas públicas
afetam o bloco. Estudando os Complexos Regionais de Segurança e os desafios
enfrentados, sendo eles principalmente, o tráfico de drogas e o crime organizado; e
correlacionando-os aos conceitos de Segurança coletiva e Responsabilidade de
Proteger que são orientações a nível mundial.
The present work aims to analyze the issue of security in South America from the perspective of Brazil's foreign policy, from 2010 onwards. Seeking to highlight the country's role as “leader” of the bloc, as well as to analyze external influences – coming from the US – and how its public policies affect the bloc. Dealing with the Regional Security Complexes and the challenges faced, drug trafficking and organized crime; and correlating them with the concepts of Collective Security and Responsibility to Protect, which are guidelines worldwide
