Pyogenic Granuloma (GP) is a benign lesion, characterized by a rapidly growing soft tissue mass. This generally occurs with greater prevalence in the gums, tongue and buccal mucosa. GP affects any individual, however, females have a higher incidence, due to hormonal changes, especially in pregnant women, as it is a period of elevated hormones, such as progesterone and estrogen. Its development is related to traumatic, irritative, hormonal factors and poor oral hygiene. In children, it is usually more aggressive and faster. Anamnesis is essential to detect the origin of the injury. It is a lesion that bleeds when touched, as it is highly vascularized. Furthermore, it is easy to recur if the patient does not maintain proper hygiene in the area. Its treatment consists of total lesion excision and irritations removal. Therefore, the purpose of the present study is to report a clinical case of a 10-year-old female patient with pyogenic granuloma in the anterior gingival region of the maxilla, for whom surgical removal of the lesion was decided.
