A indústria da moda consagrou-se como um dos setores mais lucrativos do mundo, uma vez que consegue captar diferentes classes e atingir povos distintos com sua variedade de oferta. A sua influência abrange diversos nichos de mercado que estão em constante expansão e esse setor acaba impondo uma necessidade de consumo aos seus clientes ao redor do mundo que querem estar na moda os vestuários das tendências recém lançadas no mercado. A fast fashion por produzir rapidamente e em larga escala acaba por gerar um grande debate sobre os problemas ambientais trazidos pela superprodução. No presente artigo iremos analisar as ações que a empresa de fast fashion Shein está aplicando acerca de cumprir com suas responsabilidades sociais e ambientais propostos pela Agenda 2030 e ponderar sobre se essas ações estão alinhadas com o comprometimento ambiental apresentado pela Agenda 2030.
The fashion industry has established itself as one of the most profitable sectors in the world, since it can capture different classes and reach different people with its variety of offers. Its influence covers several market niches that are in constant expansion, and this industry ends up imposing a need for consumption to its customers around the world who want to be in fashion and wear the latest trends recently launched in the market. Fast fashion, for producing quickly and on a large scale, ends up generating a great debate about the environmental problems brought about by overproduction. In this article, we will analyze the actions that the fast fashion company Shein is applying to fulfilling its social and environmental responsibilities proposed by the 2030 Agenda and consider whether these actions are aligned with the environmental commitment presented by the 2030 Agenda.
