adequada do colecalciferol.
Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) is a lipophilic secosteroid hormone, its main source of obtaining stems from exposure of the skin to UVB radiation. Growing studies have shown its broad spectrum of action, which go beyond mineral and bone homeotase, but with significant activities in other systems, organs and tissues, a fact due to the presence of its nuclear receptors (VDR) and its activating enzyme 1 alpha-hydroxylase (CYP27B1). As for its physiological dose and its ideal serum levels, it remains under discussion. To associate it with nanotechnology, is to seek to innovate and improve in the new pharmacological forms of therapy, with a view to expanding the targeted, safe and efficient supplementation of this hormone, this resulting from the diversity of nanosystems. Studies with the purpose of using bionanotechnology and its nanosystems for adequate cholecalciferol supplementation are justified. This article has as general aim to show the applicability of bionanotechnology equated to cholecalciferol and to declare new possibilities combining science and quality in health, as well as the specific aim of conducting survey of techniques in nanotechnology for inclusion with cholecalciferol and to present innovative alternatives for the efficient delivery of the active ingredient in question. The scientific methodology employed is a bibliographic review, based on the exploratory research method, based on the three sources of research. Databases from SciELO, PubMed and ScienceDirect were used. In view of the above, it is expected that this, will serve as a basis, be the percussor for the development in practice in research laboratories, with a view to a future applicability of this innovative study, on a large scale.
