Summary: Cryptorchidism is a pathology that occurs in male animals characterized by the absence of one or two testicles in the scrotum, retained in the inguinal region or abdominal cavity. Its etiology may be correlated with hereditary factors, which affect the reproduction of the animal and may cause tumors due to the lack of thermoregulation of this organ. This case report aims to talk about a case of bilateral cryptorchidism in the routine of the supervised internship at the Centro de Castração e Reinserção de Cães e Gatos de Catalão Goiás, coordinated by ASPAC (Associação Protetora de Animais de Catalão), in which a dog from Yorkshire breed, approximately two years old, with both testicles in the inguinal region. An orchiectomy was performed to remove the testicles. The patient stayed at the Castration Center until his anesthetic recovery, in order to carry out his post-operative period under the care of the tutors, returning to remove the stitches and post-operative evaluation.
