The goal of this study was to assess the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on childhood obesity through a literature review. Through the analysis of published studies on the subject, we observed that children’s routine was affected significantly by the COVID-19 pandemic, specially due to social distancing which has raised the numbers of childhood obesity. That routine change has become a challenge to parents and made the consumption of hypercaloric food increase due to its practicality, along with aggravating factors that have become frequent such as anxiety and sedentary lifestyle.
