Resumo
A incidência de câncer continua a crescer no mundo, afetando
desde adultos a crianças, grupo que enfrenta desafios únicos no tratamento
e na qualidade de vida. A partir dessa realidade os cuidados paliativos
emergem como essenciais para aliviar o sofrimento e melhorar o bem-estar
desses pacientes. Nesse contexto, a logoterapia oferece uma abordagem
humanista e existencial, focando na busca de sentido, mesmo frente ao
sofrimento imposto pela doença. O objetivo desta pesquisa é mostrar a
importância do psicólogo juntamente com a equipe multidisciplinar que
fazem parte dos cuidados paliativos na busca por uma melhor qualidade de
vida dos pacientes. Foi usada como metodologia a análise de conteúdo,
foram selecionadas cinco cenas do filme Uma prova de amor, mostrando
como a logoterapia pode ajudar a jovem Kate a buscar sentidos na vida
mesmo em meio ao seu sofrimento.
Ao final é possível observar a importância do cuidado psicológico em
pacientes oncológicos, e como a Logoterapia pode auxiliar os pacientes em
busca de uma qualidade de vida e sentido, mesmo perante a proximidade
da finitude

The content analysis, based on scenes from the movie "My Sister's Keeper", illustrates how logotherapy can help patients, like young Kate, find meaning in their lives, even amidst suffering. In summary, psychological care in oncology patients and the practice of logotherapy are essential to provide quality of life and meaning, even in the face of death's proximity.
