| dc.description.abstract | RESUMO. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo relatar o diagnistico, intervenção cirúrgica e acompanhamento pós-operatório de um cão macho da raça labrador de 9 anos, com 60kg, que apresentou um lipoma na região axilar esquerda com aderência ao tórax lateral esquerdo. O lipoma era um nódulo macio e indolor, confirmado por exames citológicos. O animal foi submetido a uma cirurgia para remover o lipoma, que tinha mais de 21cm de diâmetro e pesando 1.646kg. A cirurgia envolveu a remoção da massa tumoral e o fechamento do espaço criado com suturas. A biópsia confirmou o diagnóstico de lipoma benigno. No pós-operatório, o animal recebeu tratamento com medicamentos para dor e inflamação, e a recuperação foi bem-sucedida, sem complicações. | pt |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT: This study aims to report the diagnosis, surgical intervention, and postoperative follow-up of a 9-year-old male Labrador weighing 60 kg, who presented with a lipoma in the left axillary region adhered to the left lateral thorax. The lipoma was a soft and painless nodule, confirmed by cytological examinations. The animal underwent surgery to remove the lipoma, which measured over 21 cm in diameter and weighed 1,646 kg. The surgery involved the removal of the tumor mass and the closure of the created space with sutures. Biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of a benign lipoma. In the postoperative period, the animal received treatment with medications for pain and inflammation, and the recovery was successful, without complications. | en |
