É a partir deste
Patients who survive the passage through the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) resulting from infection by COVID-19 carry on their lives some sequels with impairments in the function of the respiratory muscles. It is from this context that the object of this research arises, which is the pulmonary rehabilitation and the quality of life of postCOVID-19 patients evidenced in scientific studies. The study aimed to search and analyze in specialized journals, articles that present the scientific findings on pulmonary rehabilitation and quality of life of post-COVID-19 patients. An Integrative Literature Review was carried out, where scientific articles were searched in the websites: Google Scientific, PubMed, ASSOBRAFIR Science and Scielo of journals registered with Qualis at the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher-Level Personnel (Capes). By defining search descriptors and selection criteria that met the research question and objective, a sample of 15 articles was analyzed. The results reveal that COVID-19 can leave sequels such as anosmia, insomnia, dyspnea, and musculoskeletal complaints, among others, which affect the living and psychological conditions, and consequently affect the quality of life of patients who survived the infection. We conclude on the importance of pulmonary rehabilitation for the treatment of the sequels of the disease, but we verify the lack of recognition of the physiotherapist in this process, even though this professional is one of those who is in the front line of the treatment of COVID-19, from mild symptoms to the post-ICU process, because they always rely on the multiprofessional orientation.
