Results: Our study demonstrated that the most commonly used surgical approaches are: subperiosteal pocket, mastoidectomy with posterior tympanotomy, round window and subtotal petrosectomy. The most recurrent reason for revision cochlear implants in children and adults were device failures and infections, respectively. Conclusion: The revision cochlear implant rate is higher in children than in adults, probably due to frequente falls or early implantation in this population.
