Resumo
Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar o papel do cinema na economia junto com sua importância. Além disso, apresentaremos a greve cinematográfica hollywoodiana ocorrida em 2023 e seus impactos globais. A análise destaca a ascensão hollywoodiana e sua evolução até ser considerada a grande potência cinematográfica que conhecemos, também é abordada e evolução do cinema no âmbito internacional, o desempenho das grandes produções no PIB norte-americano, paralelamente analisando a motivação dos profissionais da área, o papel que a inteligência artificial juntamente com os streamings desempenharam como motivação. Exploraremos a globalização das produções, os impactos econômicos globais nas produções, empresas de streaming e no comércio local que depende da atividade hollywoodiana. Desta forma, esse estudo visa demonstrar o papel do cinema na economia internacional, o impacto econômico causado pela greve e a ascensão de novas tecnologias como a IA e os serviços de streamings.
This study aims to analyze the role of cinema in the economy along with its importance. Furthermore, we will present the Hollywood film strike that took place in 2023 and its global impacts. The analysis highlights the rise of Hollywood and its evolution until it is considered the great cinematic power that we know, it also addresses the evolution of cinema internationally, the performance of major productions in the North American GDP, at the same time analyzing the motivation of professionals in the area, the role that artificial intelligence together with streaming played in motivation. We will explore the globalization of productions, the global economic impacts on productions, streaming companies and local commerce that depends on Hollywood activity. In this way, this study aims to demonstrate the role of cinema in the international economy, the economic impact caused by the strike and the rise of new technologies such as AI and streaming services.
