Resumo
Introdução: As lesões cervicais não cariosas estão cada vez mais presentes na rotina clínica do cirurgião dentista contemporâneo, sendo necessário um amplo embasamento para o manejo clínico dessas lesões. Objetivo: Este artigo propõe-se a realizar uma revisão de literatura sobre a etiologia, o correto diagnóstico e as opções de manejo e tratamentos restauradores que podem ser utilizados em pacientes apresentando diferentes tipos de lesões cervicais não cariosas. Metodologia: Esta é uma revisão bibliográfica, compreendendo 42 referências entre artigos, bibliografias e sites, publicadas entre 1984 e 2023, as quais fazem parte da base de dados PubMed, Scopus e Google Acadêmico. Resultados: As lesões cervicais não cariosas têm etiologia complexa e multifatorial, abrangendo inclusive diversas áreas da saúde. Conclusão: O cirurgião dentista deve possuir um profundo embasamento para planejar e realizar de forma individualizada o correto tratamento e manejo das diversas lesões cervicais não cariosas para que o prognóstico para o paciente seja o melhor possível.

Objective: This article aims to carry out a literature review on the etiology, correct diagnosis and management options and restorative treatments that can be used in patients presenting different types of non-carious cervical lesions. Methodology: This is a bibliographic review, comprising 42 references including articles, bibliographies and websites, published between 1984 and 2023, which are part of the PubMed, Scopus and Google Scholar databases. Results: Non-carious cervical lesions have a complex and multifactorial etiology, including several areas of health. Conclusion: The dental surgeon must have a deep foundation to plan and individually carry out the correct treatment and management of the various non-carious cervical lesions so that the prognosis for the patient is the best possible.
