Resumo
A Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica (HAS) vem aumentando
Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica (HAS), em crianças e adolescentes. E apresenta
Novas Perspectivas. Tratamento. Não há clara evidência que
associe a pressão arterial em crianças e adolescentes a eventos cardiovasculares futuros.
Systemic Arterial Hypertension (SAH) has been increasing considerably in recent years within the pediatric age group. The increase in the prevalence of SAH in children and adolescents is a public health problem and must be addressed at all levels of care with their respective particularities. In this context, the research has as a general focus, to analyze the clinical and pharmacological aspects in the treatment of Systemic Arterial Hypertension (SAH), in children and adolescents. The specific objectives were: to investigate the associations of arterial hypertension; check the clinical manifestations; and new treatment perspectives in this context. It is a literature review study. The search and selection of articles took place in the VHL (Virtual Health Library) using LILACS (Latin American Literature in Health Sciences) and SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) as database. The controlled descriptors of the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) were chosen: Systemic Arterial Hypertension. New perspectives. Treatment. There is no clear evidence to associate blood pressure in children and adolescents with future cardiovascular events. Higher values are found in obese children, but they tend to decrease.
