Introduction: Burns are a type of injury caused by unintentional exposure to high temperature substances, including hot liquids, solids or gases. Burn injuries can lead to profound long-term changes, even if the wounds have healed, and may affect not only physical health, but also mental health and the patient's quality of life¹ ². Objective: The present study aimed to review in the literature of the last 10 years in order to evaluate the effectiveness of physiotherapeutic resources in the treatment of severely burned patients, who suffered second, third or fourth degree burns. Materials and methods: It consists of an integrative literature review in search of clinical trials, seeking to evaluate the effectiveness of physiotherapeutic resources in severely burned patients, through the PubMed, PEDro and Medline/BVS databases, in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The studies included in the review were evaluated using the PEDro scale. Results: The 8 studies selected for this review all demonstrated the effectiveness ofphysiotherapeutic resources in terms of flexibility, mobility and quality of life, so that these interventions can be reproduced in clinical practice in an effective and safe way. Conclusion: The studies evaluated in this review showed that interventions in physiotherapeutic resources of kinesiotherapy, electrotherapy, phototherapy and massage therapy demonstrated improvement in the thickness of the hypertrophic scar, in mobility, functionality, flexibility, pain, muscle strength and balance. Having a positive impact on the quality of life of severely burned patients.
