Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Relação entre exame físico e laboratorial com anos de doença em artrite reumatoide(2018) Simas, Julia CapelariAim: Relate findings in physical examination and laboratory results with active disease time in patients with Seropositive Rheumatoid Arthritis. Methods: A transversal observational study was carried out with 50 patients (40 women and 10 men) that performed rheumatologic follow-up in the Pró-Vida (private clinic), in the city of Tubarão-SC, between the years of 2015 to 2017. The data was obtained by the analysis of patients’ electronic medical records. Results: In the present study the patients age fluctuated between 29 and 78 years. The duration of active disease ranged from 1 to 33 years. In physical exam findings the median of painful joints was 3, ranging from 0 to 35, while the swollen joints varied between 0 to 34 joints, with a median of 2. It was noted that 19 of the subjects did not have any associated comorbidity, while 31 had one or more overlapping comorbidities. There was no significant relation between years of active disease and swollen joints, painful joints, CRP value or HSV value, contrary to the main objective proposed by this research. Conclusion: The present study failed to prove a direct association between years of disease and laboratory findings and physical examination but opens the possibility for future studies to evaluate and work with a larger range of factors involved in disease activity.
