Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Dificuldade na adesão ao tratamento medicamentoso dos pacientes com asma brônquica da Policlínica Municipal de Palhoça - Unisul(2020) Camargo, Brenda Weingartner; Schmitt, Natália FeijóIntroduction: Asthma is a worldwide problem that affects approximately 18% of the population. It is a chronic disease, characterized by an inflammation of the respiratory airways associated with bronchial narrowing. The primary purpose in the treatment of asthma is to achieve clinical control for an improvement in the patient's life condition. The frequency occurs when the inhalation devices are mishandled, which has a significant impact on the degree of asthma control. Objective: To understand the difficulties of patients with asthma in adhering to drug treatment at the Municipal Polyclinic of Palhoça - UNISUL. Methodology: Qualitative, descriptive exploratory research. Held at the Palhoça Municipal Polyclinic - Unisul, with patients seen at the pulmonology outpatient clinic. Data were collected between September 2019 and August 2020, through a semi-structured interview, and a Bardin Content Analysis. Results: Three categories emerged from analysis: ‘’Disease manifestations and coping’’, ‘’Health education’’ and ‘’Complexity in accessing medication’’. Conclusion: Asthma is a disease that causes inflammation of the airways and various discomforts related to this, bringing with it difficulties to perform common daily tasks. It was also evident the difficulty of free access to high-cost medications and a lack of information from health professionals who accompany these patients, which makes adherence or adequacy to treatment difficult.
