Estudo de Caso Acesso embargado Estudo de proteção e seletividade em subestação de 2 MVA(2019) Pinheiro, Glaycon MafiolettiThe protection system makes measurements in the Electrical Power System (EPS), such as voltage and current, and compares them with limit values that are calculated by the protection engineers. These comparisons may involve time values to determine the permanence of the condition as well as require further system checks at other points in the network. If all checks are satisfied, a particular action is taken, which most often results in the opening of a circuit breaker to isolate a part of the network. The objective of this work is to develop the knowledge in the protection systems, through the bibliographical research, and mainly taking into consideration the substation equipments of the company Votorantim Cimentos in Capivari de Baixo. With this work it is possible to verify that the protection system is in selectivity with the utility equipment, acting as soon as possible, and turning off only the fault location.Estudo de Caso Acesso fechado Geração de energia fotovoltaica para uso residencial: um estudo da viabilidade de instalação de um sistema de geração de energia ON-GRID(2020) Aguiar, Daniela deThe use of new sources of energy is a constant subject of debate by environmentalists, political groups and researchers. As an alternative to supply the worldwide demand for electric energy is the use of energy from solar radiation, which has been pointed out by many scholars as a form of clean, cheap, sustainable and economically viable energy generation. Therefore, this study aims, as a general objective, to analyze the financial viability and the return time of the investment related to the installation of grid-connected photovoltaic power generation system. Specific objectives are to research and describe the historical evolution of energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies, emphasizing photovoltaics; describe the characteristics of the various types of use and generation of photovoltaic energy; to present a technical / financial feasibility study for the installation of photovoltaic power generation systems connected to the power distribution network, taking as a parameter of analysis the potential of solar energy generation in the region. In order to achieve the objectives, the methodology of this research was bibliographic research with literature review and for this purpose were used as source of research technical manuals, Brazilian Regulatory Standards, technical books that address the theme, besides articles published in nationally renowned journals and on energy use and conservation, energy efficiency, renewable energy and photovoltaic power generation systems connected to the distribution grid. Keywords: Photovoltaics. Power generation. Renewable energy. Systems connected.Monografia Acesso aberto Modernização da proteção elétrica do barramento auxiliar de 6,3kv da ute Jorge Lacerda A(2020) Rosa, Leandro daPower system buses are electrical power equipment used to connect various other equipment, such as motors, feeders and transformers. By their nature, they are subject to various types of defects and, therefore, the use of protection systems is essential. Such system consists of protection relays and associated elements, the purpose of which is to identify defects or unsafe operating conditions of the protected element, promoting its withdrawal from service and aiming to avoid, or at least minimize, possible damage to equipment connected to this system. In this sense, the present work presents a bibliographic review complemented with the steps for replacing electromechanical protection relays with digital SEL relays on the 6.3 kV bus. The project contemplates the exchange of 51 protection relays, with 20 relays installed in the first execution phase and in the next phase, which will take place in mid-2021, another 31 relays will be installed, the proposed project being finalized. The plant where the relays were replaced has approximately 45 years of operation and throughout this work, the advantages and characteristics of the new equipment to be installed will be pointed out, the development of the electrical modernization project, protection calculations used in the relays, physical installation and final tests for validation of the electrical protection circuit applicable specifically to power system busbars according to the European standard IEEE std C37.234-2009, protection of alternating current (AC) electric motors according to the European standard IEEE std C37 .96-2012, relays and relay systems associated with electrical power devices according to the European standard IEEE std C37.90-2005 and protection of power transformers according to the European standard IEEE std C37.91-2008.Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Sistema de proteção elétrico utilizando fibra óptica: serviço auxiliar de usina termelétrica(2020) Rech, Luis HenriqueOver the years, machines, equipment and processes have become outdated, because today the world is increasingly inserted in the age of digitalization, a thermoelectric plant with more than 20 years of operation, where its equipment is from the time of its commissioning , it couldn't be different. The modernization of equipment such as protection relays, allows greater precision and accuracy at the moment of protection operation compared to the old ones. These equipment’s have new added functions that did not exist in the past, such as the detection of electric arc using optical fiber. This function provides a shorter time for the protection to act in the event of a short circuit, where, all the time that the electrical equipment is exposed to this fault, it will suffer material damage due to the energy dispersed during the time of failure. In addition to material damage, there are also personal injuries, as the place where the equipment to be protected is installed, there are circulation of people. This work will expose the process of installing of the arc detection system in a 6.3 kV bus of auxiliary service of a thermoelectric plant, as well as its advantages compared to a system without this technology.
